Wow…

Since when is ending an email with, “I await a response…” open to negative interpretation?

I don’t think I’ve heard anything more ludicrous in my life.

Someone please tell me if I’m crazy. I asked two other people and they said they cannot see how, either.

Oh, that sounds like fun. I don’t think I’ve ever ended an email like that though.
    :P
By the way, I’m Sean, would you like to be blog buddies?

Welp, I think it depends on who you emailed it to and the history there.

If it’s someone you just argued with or had some other tense-ness with, I think it’s possible they could read something snarky in the tone (however, truth be told, if that’s the head space they are in, they could probably find something snarky in anything you write. Tone is so hard to read in email…I think it’s the biggest downfall with it).

If you wrote that to someone you don’t have any bumps with, I can’t see how that could be taken as anything except - “I await your response”….. If you sent me an email with that at the end, I wouldn’t have thought a thing about it..

    so that’s my response.

    I await yours :)

Heather - you’re right on the money with the tense-ness, as you already caught on with your other comment. I hate hate hate… I mean hate tension between myself and others as it is always palpable to me.

Depending on the email, it could mean any number of things.. but in general I would take it as “Please respond”.

    :P
